Cryonics - The Future of Medical Science

Cryonics - The Future of Medical Science: "The process of cryopreservation explained from start to finish. Scientists anticipate growing bodies from cryopreserved brains in the near future.

Immortality is something that man has searched for since the dawn of time. Humans have always wanted to live longer, healthier lives, and lives independent of the aggravation of aging. Cryonics is medical science's answer to the immortality question. Not through magic or religious mantras, but through the practice of preserving the body by freezing, or cryopreservation. When technology allows it in the future, the body can be fully revived.

Based on sound scientific evidence, scientists speculate that future medicine will be able to utilise nanotechnology to repair the damage done to the body by old age, in order to bring cryopreserved patients back to their youth. These goals are not unrealistic, as many similar preliminary experiments have already been performed.

Process of cryopreservation

The process of cryopreservation depends on a completely different definition of death than the one that is widely accepted today. Contrary to popular belief, the brain does not begin to die after four to six minutes without oxygen; there is simply clotting in the circulatory system due to the cessation of a heart beat. However, the actual neurons within the brain could continue to functionhours after death."
